Bert Wheeler (1870-1955) D-266

Bert Wheeler was originally named Albert Stith Moorman and was from Brandenburg,Kentucky.
After serving in the Spanish American War, he changed his name. This is not the
same Bert Wheeler that was the stage and screen star that was part of a duo called
Wheeler an Woolsey.
He was a vaudeville performer and appeared in a comic bicycle act called "Bert
and Mac Wheeler" in the early nineteen hundreds.He later toured America and
Europe in a comedy juggling act called "Fun on the Boulevard" with his
second wife, Nettie Wheeler.They were later divorced.
He retired from the stage in 1923. Thereafter he sold parlor games and owned four
patents for games.
His third wife was Rose Cervenka Wheeler,had a son named Lawrence Moorman and a daughter, Mrs. Lynn Fehr.
He lived at 390 Riverside Drive. There is not a grave marker.
