within a great city”, Maple Grove blends harmoniously the old and new concepts
of cemeteries—thus making it a place of spiritual peace and restfulness.
|Three years after the 1875 founding of Maple
Grove Cemetery, a new railroad station opened nearby and in 1881, the Maple Grove
was constructed for use as the superintendent’s office and as a waiting room for
visitors and funeral parties (many of which arrived by train).
Today, The Center building houses our administrative
offices, family living room, columbarium, Celebration Room and Community
