Referred to as “a haven of peace and beauty within a great city”, Maple Grove blends harmoniously the old and new concepts of cemeteries—thus making it a place of spiritual peace and restfulness.

Three years after the 1875 founding of Maple Grove Cemetery, a new railroad station opened nearby and in 1881, the Maple Grove Administration Building was constructed for use as the superintendent’s office and as a waiting room for visitors and funeral parties (many of which arrived by train).

    Today, this historic building remains the hub of Maple Grove activity.

The Maple Grove Cemetery Mission

 The mission of the Maple Grove Cemetery Association is to celebrate and honor the heritage of the past; to serve and respect the needs of the present; and to anticipate and plan for the challenges of the future:

  • By offering a wide range of burial, memorial and spiritual options in a garden setting of exceptional beauty;

  • By providing professional services, caring and compassionate advice to families planning for the burial of their loved one and commemorating and celebrating the lives of family members memorialized at Maple Grove Cemetery.

  • By celebrating, preserving, maintaining and improving our natural, architectural, cultural and historical resources for the benefit of families, friends and the community.
