THE CENTER AT MAPLE GROVE |

Several
years ago, the trustees of Maple Grove Cemetery came to grips with the reality
that while we value our
Administration Building as an historical symbol of our past, we must embrace
a future of providing adequate space for family meetings and reunions, for
community participation activities sponsored by our Friends of Maple Grove
Cemetery group, and for staff work. Gradually, the concept of The Center at
Maple Grove Cemetery emerged around the notion of paying tribute to life,
inspiration and remembrance.
Going
beyond traditional thinking and opening new possibilities for bringing people
together, the Center at Maple Grove will answer the needs of present and future
generations. This multi-purpose facility will stand as a 18,000-square foot
landmark, set amid the pastoral 65-acre backdrop offered by our cemetery. From a
winding Labyrinth and peaceful Meditation Garden to
an impressive Celebration Pavilion, the Center at Maple Grove will offer a
diversity of experience and a welcoming haven.
A
refuge for the spirit and a place of comfort and inspiration, this Center will
serve multiple purposes. It will offer interment and remembrance space and
provide a place where cemetery families and clientele can gather. In addition,
the facility will be a location where the Friends of Maple Grove Cemetery can
offer programs and educational/cultural activities.

Visitors will be
welcomed into a spacious lobby that engages the eye with a fused glass
window, tranquil water display and lush botanic garden. A Family Room, for
approximately 30 persons, designed with working hearth in charming
living room style, will offer quiet respite and an opportunity for
families to gather. |
| The larger Meeting
Room, fully equipped with state-of-the-art technical capabilities
suitable for filming, teleconferencing and web-casting, will be an
ideal venue for larger family gatherings or meetings and activities
sponsored by the Friends group. |

Adding to
the scope of the building, the
Celebration
Pavilion will accommodate up to
200 people who may gather to recognize anniversaries of a loved
one’s passing or for family reunions. |

The
picturesque lake view, visible through a floor-to-ceiling glass
window, will add to the atmosphere of an event.

| For burial
and memorial options, The Center is designed with two handsomely
appointed rooms with space for over two thousand glass front
niches for the interment of cremated remains
and display of memorabilia and
treasures honoring a loved one. This area will
host interment ceremonies and memorials as well. Space on the
granite Wall of Memories will be available for purchase and
inscription with messages of endearment or honor for a loved
one. |
