November 2006 the walls were taller and we had a hint of what
the brick façade would look like.
In January
2007, we FINALLY saw the building assume its planned form.
While the roof for the Celebration Pavilion was not yet ready,
the columns to support it were in place.
The
Celebration Pavilion roof was installed in late February – a
major undertaking.
Now it is
early April and we are looking for spring. There is talk of
an early summer completion date; staff is making moving plans;
we are discussing security, parking and all the practical
matters that come with opening a new facility. And this is how
the Center at Maple Grove looks: 
As
the foundation comes to completion and the building takes shape,
we will continue to report on our progress.

On a cold day in February
2006, a brave group gathered at the site where the new Center at Maple Grove is
being constructed. Several Maple Grove Cemetery staff, local supporters, and
representatives from Peter Gisolfi Associates (architectural designers) and
Marco Martelli Associates (construction managers) stuck shiny new shovels in the
ground and officially launched the start of Center construction.
